ADVISORY COUNCIL

Advisory council members include, when available, community business and civic leaders, senior citizens, Foster grandparents, family of past or current Foster grandparents, program staff, and a member of the Action Resources International’s Board of Directors.

ALLEN GONZALES-WILLERT

I am a native of Southern California, graduating from Cal State Long Beach with a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies. Following graduation, I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine (2018-2020) and continued my national service through AmeriCorps VISTA at Feeding Laramie Valley and Action Resources International (ARI), both as a member and a leader (2021-2023). Today I am proud to be a part of the National service team at ARI!

Nid Collins

Nid Collins, an influential community advocate, serves on the Advisory Council for Foster Grandparents of the Wyoming Rockies. As the Albany County Film Liaison at Visit Laramie and Director of the 307 International Film Festival, Nid passionately promotes cultural richness. Managing Hits 106 and owning "This is Laramie," Nid contributes significantly to local media. A skilled Real Estate Photographer and Producer at French Creek Films, Nid creatively captures Wyoming's essence. For 13 years, Nid, originally from Leicester, UK, has embraced Laramie, contributing safe, positive events and leaving a lasting cultural legacy. In roles spanning film, media, and community engagement, Nid weaves together a narrative of connection, diversity, and enhancing the Wyoming Rockies community's quality of life.

LINA DUNNING

Lina Dunning is Project Coordinator for AmeriCorps VISTA Intermediary Project, Feeding Laramie Valley Community Engagement, and Gardens For Health and Healing. Additionally, as an original Executive Board Member of Action Resources International, she acts as the ARI BOD liaison.

LISA COX

Lisa Cox, long-time teacher and community coordinator, has called Laramie WY home for over 20 years. A self-described Jill-of-all-trades, she currently works in life transition healing and support, including later life planning and assistance, as well as tutoring students of all ages. Lisa also has a side business in  which she enjoys cooking for community. In her limited free time, she can be found hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, reading and traveling as a history and nature buff, and spending time with friends both 2- and 4-legged. She is also a member of the Laramie Audubon Society Board and leads monthly Kids & Families programs around town for kids and families.cil member.
